Humor is defined as the tendency of particular cognitive
experience to provoke laughter and provide amusement. The word derives from
humoral medicine of the ancient Greeks which taught that the balance of fluids
in the human body known as humors which controlled human and emotion. Humor is
if we think that something is true based on clues given to us, but then we are
presented with further evidence which shows that we are wrong. If fact we were
so wrong that there was something wrong with the thought processes that led to
the initial conclusion. Humor is like beauty in the eyes of the beholder and is
the funny bone of the receiver of the experience.
Importance of humor
Humor can be regard as tendency to look at things from the
mirthful or incongruous side.
It is the quality that makes laughable or amusing and is the
ability to perceive, enjoy, or express what is amusing or comical.
It is refer as the spark that lights our eyes as well as the
causes of tears that never grows old and therefore humor is a state of mind.
People have the tendency to regard a clever sense of humor
as the distinction of a person who is good hearten and friendly, people feel
ease with.
Laughter is powerful antidotes to stress, pain, and
conflict. It says nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind
and body back into balance than a good laugh.
It lightens your burdens, connects you to others, inspires
hope and keeps you grounds, focus and alert. Humor is like the sniper’s gun
picking people off when they least expect it.
We cannot used humor to hurt others cause will be abusing
this wonderful gift. We must try by any means to teach our children the
difference between what is funny and what is cruel.
